As the sheriff of Templeton, Pennsylvania, Milagro is responsible for keeping everyone safe and secure. During the Lighter Days festival, he’s also been made responsible for one E. B. Ramone, an out-of-town journalist bent on drudging up as much of Templeton’s history as he can find.

Cathy Lamar owns and runs the Templeton Diner, which she uses to manage local gossip mills and leverages to push town politics one way or the other. Her love for the community has brought her into the confidence of E. B. Ramone, who she advises during his research.
